I live to serve the gods. A servant, a protector, an assassin.
I’ve given my life and my death to that duty, an on-going cycle that I can’t escape. But then I never before had a reason to…
I once existed to serve my God. Until I fell into the arms of true love.
When I found myself alone, I needed a new master, a new purpose for my life. I’ve excelled as an Enforcer, and my duty to the job has always been enough. That was, until she crossed my path…
When Olivia Hardin began having strange movie-like dreams in her teens, she had no choice but to begin putting them to paper. Before long the writing bug had her and she knew she wanted to be a published author. Several rejections plus a little bit of life later, and she was temporarily “cured” of the urge to write. That is until she met a group of talented and fabulous writers who gave her the direction and encouragement she needed to get lost in the words again.
Olivia’s attended three different universities over the years and toyed with majors in Computer Technology, English, History and Geology. Then one day she heard the term road scholar and she knew that was what she wanted to be. Now she “studies” anything and everything just for the joy of learning. She’s also an insatiable crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates to run, and she’s sometimes accused of being artistic.
A native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with her husband, Danny and their puppy, Bonnie.

Refusing to look at the woman sitting next to me, I simply stared at the amber liquid in my glass. After a second my eyes flicked to the bright blue drink in hers and I cocked my head to the side, “What the hell is that anyway?”
“A blue devil. My favorite. Well, let me clarify. It is my favorite here at the Hotel. I’ve never found anyone anywhere else who can make it like Selena,” leaning in as if revealing a secret, “I think she spikes it with demon blood.”
Narrowing my eyes, I stared at her, then exhaled loudly, “Are you always so sarcastic?”
“I’m always full of shit, yes.”
She brought the blue filled glass to her lips, eyeing me over the rim as she drank. I watched her throat move as she swallowed and my mouth turned dry as I imagined suckling the beautiful skin there.
Shaking my head, I forced my vision away again, “I do feel responsible. I was told she might need help. But another friend needed me and I went to her first. By that time it was too late.”
“That gnaws on a person. Tough pill to swallow when you let something come between you and your job and then things go bad.”
I had the feeling she was speaking from experience. I studied her as she let her eyes wander a little, clearly lost in her own thoughts. “What kind of work are you in?”
After just a moment’s hesitation, the impish smile returned to her face, “Ah, ah, ah. You ask me and I’ll have to ask you. It’s all fun and games until someone spills their guts.”
